FAQs

Indonesia, with its tropical climate, offers two main diving seasons: the wet season from November to March and the dry season from April to October. Each season provides unique diving experiences, ensuring unforgettable adventures year-round.

Wet Season (November to March) During the wet season, expect increased rainfall and humidity, but warm temperatures between 25°C (77°F) and 28°C (82°F). Rain typically falls in short, intense bursts, allowing plenty of sunny intervals for exploration. This season attracts diverse marine life due to nutrient-rich waters, making it ideal for underwater photography. Additionally, fewer tourists mean less crowded dive sites and lush, vibrant landscapes.

Dry Season (April to October) The dry season is the most popular for diving, with minimal rainfall, lower humidity, and clear skies. Water temperatures range from 27°C (81°F) to 30°C (86°F), and visibility often exceeds 30 meters (98 feet). These conditions create perfect settings for diving and snorkeling, offering calm seas and abundant marine life. It's an excellent time to explore Indonesia's breathtaking underwater world.

Whether you prefer the vibrant marine life of the wet season or the clear waters of the dry season, Indonesia's diverse climate ensures a memorable diving experience. Let us help you plan the perfect liveaboard adventure tailored to your preferences.

Yes. Dive insurance is generally mandatory for liveaboard trips in Indonesia. Most operators and booking platforms require divers to have insurance that covers emergency evacuation, medical treatment, and other dive-related incidents.

Please secure adequate insurance that provides coverage for medical treatment, decompression sickness, injuries, and emergency evacuation from remote areas, ensuring safety and peace of mind. Optional coverage for equipment loss is also beneficial.

Several providers offer comprehensive coverage, including DAN (Divers Alert Network), Dive Assure, and World Nomads. These organizations offer tailored plans to suit different diving needs.

We dedicate 1% of our revenue towards environmental protection. From 2024, V Social will begin setting up its own conservation project, working together with local people. We firmly believe that conservation can be impactful and long-lasting, but that it is only truly effective when done together with people living in the territory.

Travel relies on natural resources and is deeply connected with nature and wildlife. Therefore, responsible and sustainable travel has to include conservation efforts and true care for the places we travel to. The V Social Foundation’s conservation project is an initiative that works with local people to give them ownership of their territory, protect the environment through reforestation and regeneration efforts, and empower the community by handing them over control of the project within five years.

We aim to develop a model that contributes to climate protection, adapts to local conditions instead of harming them, and empowers local people to take over the project in the future. The goal is that this model can be replicated and create a snowball effect among the communities we work with and the destinations we travel to, making travel a true force for good.
