Fiabacet Island, part of the Misool region in Raja Ampat, is a diving paradise renowned for its vibrant marine life and stunning underwater landscapes. Located in the heart of the Coral Triangle, Fiabacet offers divers a unique experience with its abundant soft corals, diverse fish species, and impressive underwater topography.

Diving at Fiabacet Island is a visual feast, with colorful soft corals growing densely and a variety of fish, including juvenile fusiliers, surgeonfish, and damselfish. The dive starts at Fiabacet Rock and can extend towards Whale Rock, offering depths of up to 25 meters (82 feet). With a mix of wall and sloping reef dives, divers can explore overhangs and recesses teeming with macro life such as nudibranchs and scorpionfish. Visibility here ranges from 20 to 30 meters (65 to 98 feet), making it perfect for underwater photography.

Getting there: The best way to explore Fiabacet Island is by liveaboard, which provides seamless access to the most pristine dive sites. Departure is usually from Sorong.

Best time to visit: The ideal time for diving at Fiabacet is from October to April, when water temperatures range from 27°C to 30°C (81°F to 86°F) and marine life is most active.

Diving Conditions: Water depths range from 5 to 25 meters (16 to 82 feet) with generally mild currents. Some sites may have stronger currents, but dives are typically planned according to tidal changes.
