Diving around Bidadari Island reveals a colorful underwater world with pristine coral gardens, schools of fish, and occasional visits from larger pelagics like manta rays and reef sharks. The island’s proximity to Komodo and Rinca islands means divers can easily explore other renowned sites within the park, creating a varied and exciting diving itinerary.
Above water, Bidadari Island boasts white sandy beaches and lush vegetation, perfect for relaxing between dives. Non-divers can enjoy snorkeling in the shallow reefs, beachcombing, and exploring the island’s natural beauty.
Getting there: The best way to explore Bidadari Island is by liveaboard, providing convenient access to its beautiful dive sites. Alternatively, you can fly to Labuan Bajo and take a short boat ride to the island.
Best time to visit: The ideal time to visit Bidadari Island is between April and November, with water temperatures ranging from 27°C to 30°C (81°F to 86°F), offering perfect conditions for diving and marine life encounters.
Diving Conditions: The dive sites around Bidadari Island feature depths from 5 to 30 meters (16 to 98 feet) with generally mild currents. The clear waters offer excellent visibility, ideal for both novice and experienced divers.
